Powerball / Claim a prize

After matching, follow the right claim path.

A winning ticket must be redeemed under the rules of the jurisdiction where it was sold. Deadlines and disclosure rules vary, so use that lottery's official claim instructions.

TICKET JURISDICTION

Select the ticket's issuing jurisdiction

Continue to the official lottery for retailer search, online eligibility or claims. Your browsing location is not treated as permission to buy.

Select the place where the ticket would be sold first.
Your checklist (0/4)

Lucky Numbers does not sell tickets or collect prizes. Retailer finders open without tracking your location. This checklist is general guidance; current operator eligibility, claim and tax rules take priority.

Same winning numbers, different conditions.

Matching numbers do not finalize a payout

In Lotto 6/45, five main matches plus the bonus is second prize; the bonus alone wins nothing. U.S. games use separate number pools and ticket options. Mega Millions multipliers and California's pari-mutuel payouts mean a base-number checker cannot determine every payment. Confirm amounts against the original ticket and issuing lottery.

Visiting a retailer is not overseas online eligibility

A visitor's ability to buy at a U.S. retailer is separate from online residency and location checks. Free number generation or translated guidance does not create a right to purchase from abroad. Tickets must be issued through lawful channels in a selling jurisdiction.

Claim deadlines belong to the issuing lottery

California generally gives 180 days for draw-game claims but one year for Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots. These are not nationwide deadlines. In-person, mail, original-ticket and evidence requirements must follow the lottery that issued the ticket.
